Deep within Guyana’s interior, YWAM pioneered a church and primary school. On one visit, the YWAMers noticed about a dozen of the children were not eating lunch. After asking a few questions, they discovered the children were from poor families who did not have enough food. The YWAMers
approached the church leaders. The church agreed to help and began feeding these children twice a week.
Now, with government intervention and community involvement, a building has been erected for the feeding program and all 73 kids in the school are fed a nutritious lunch every weekday. The YWAMers said, “It’s neat to see how a little intervention on our behalf can go a long way and make
a difference in a community!”
