For many youth in Cluj, Romania, the crossover move in basketball has taken on a new meaning. Over 100 boys and girls came to a basketball camp run by YWAM Cluj in partnership with Crossover International. In between basketball drills, the youth heard testimonies and the camp’s theme verse, John 5:24. “…Whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.”
The youth were introduced to an “eternal crossover” through a relationship with Jesus. Most of them had never heard God talked about in a personal manner. As they prayed at the end of the week, over 70 hands went up to indicate their desire to know Jesus. The YWAMers were amazed, saying, “Their enthusiasm to know God was incredible.”
Since camp, the YWAMers have stayed in touch with the kids through a youth meeting. Said one YWAMer, “We believe God did a work in their hearts
that will last for eternity.”
